Compared with the traditional wire ligation internal fixation, the maxillofacial plate can be used for unilateral cortical fixation through intraoral approach, which is safe and easy to operate, accurate repositioning, no surgical scar on the surface, functional and stable fixation of the fracture end, and early recovery of the opening and occlusal force. In order to increase the pressure in the fracture line area, an oblique hole can be designed at each end of the maxillofacial plate to play the role of a pressurized plate. The internal fixation of maxillofacial plate can restore the patient's mouth opening and chewing function earlier than intermaxillary traction fixation, which has less impact on pronunciation, speech and respiratory function, and significantly improves oral hygiene, which is easily accepted by patients.
